Are you flourishing or just surviving…

Are you flourishing like a healthy plant or are you a weed waiting to be plucked out?

They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courtyards of our God. Psalm 92:13
The people who are planted, established, sown by God, rooted and grounded in God, settled, placed and sure in their specified position will thrive, prosper, improve, develop; expand, escalate, swell, grow, boom, mushroom, snowball, rocket!
Now that is a great guarantee! Now check this out…

The definition of Planted:
placed (a seed, bulb, or plant) in the ground so that it can grow, place or fix in a specified position, something sown, placed, put, set, positioned, situated, or settled.

But guess what…
When a seed is planted in the ground or in a pot it must first die before it will be of any use. Woah!
You must die to yourself. Lay down your life so God may raise it up again. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and He will exalt you in due season. We have to trust God’s timing. He’s perfect in all of His ways.
Not only must a seed die first but a seed is sown in a dark place…selah! Please stick with me here.
In other words, you may be overlooked at times or seem alone and insignificant. You may been uncomfortable and unsure, especially when others know who you were or what you were before you went into that dark place.

The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness, a lonely and dry place. For what? That he may be tested. It was time for Jesus to graduate into what God his father created him for. Again God’s timing is perfect! He’s patient and He knows us better than we know ourselves. He gives us little tests to see how we do then gradually gives us higher level exams. It’s called pruning. When the grapes on a vine get too heavy and falls low to the ground the vinesresser must cut it off because it now is pulling other smaller grapes from receiving the light and nutrients they need for growth. So once the mature grapes r sent the other grapes can now rise back up to receive from the sun that they too can mature. Don’t be a grape that hangs low and not allow others to get the sunlight they need to grow.

You may even be slightly envious or judgemental of others because you are not yet fruitful.

Get rid of pride! Pride makes big gaping holes that can cause tou to have a great fall. You did not call and anoint yourself, neither did you place those awesome treasures within yourself at birth that you have any right to boast or be conceited about them. Dont think more of yourself than you should. In other words don’t act like your better than the one who made you. God designed you! Abide in Him and He will abide in you, as the vine cannot bare fruit on its own accord.
The scriptures say;

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.  -John 15:4-5

If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.  -John 15:6

I don’t know about you but I do not want to be thrown away to wither. A fool is the one who thinks he can survive outside of the vine. You have never seen a branch that was taken off of a tree turn around and grow into a flourishing tree. It becomes lifeless once it is disconnected.
Nor do I desire to be a leafless branch hanging on to a tree just to say I am part of the tree. If you do this, you are a hypocrite, a white washed tomb. You have a form of godliness, denying the power of God. Be careful that you do not demand of others what you yourself do not do! Humble yourself and you will be exalted.

Just know this…

When you are a seed in the skillful hand of the greatest Botanist, God, He knows which ground will work best for your particular species or classification. He knows whether you need to be planted indoors or outdoors, and what weather temperatures are conducive for your growth. Whether you need more light or less, more water or less. He knows the best conditions for your type, or should I say, your purpose. Remember, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

The definition of Flourish:
To begin to grow or increase rapidly, grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment, to wave around as to attract others.

When you are placed in a specified position where God has planted you because you did not plant yourself, He will make you a bold or extravagant gesture or action, made especially to attract the attention of others. Is it so others can be envious of you? Yes and no. Not for your brothers and sisters in Christ to be envious but so the world can be envious and want what you have, and that is Christ! Christ in you the hope of glory. God will feature you to win the lost! You then become an authorized dealer and an automatic partaker of the blessing as a laborer. God gave you that promotion to win the lost! Everything God does has meaning. So stay in sync with God.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.  -John 15:7

Wow, these definitions are so awesome! I can tell you these definitions are factual because I have experienced it for myself. Being planted by God and becoming rooted and grounded in Him and set in my home church, I have experienced tremendous growth spiritually and naturally. I am not the same person I was when I started.
God has promoted me spiritually and naturally. Not just me but my husband and our children! I received God’s word and I began to bring it back to His remembrance. I continued to remind God of Every promise he made to me. Just like the scripture says to prove Him now, if he will not open unto us the windows of Heaven and pour us out a blessing that we won’t even have room enough to receive. Then I added the scripture above regarding being planted and then I reminded God of Amos 9:13 & Isaiah 45:3! (Look them up.)
Hey, if it’s true then I wanna know that it’s true! Right?! So take God at His word! Get planted in a good church, the one God leads you to and watch your life and the promises begin to unfold.

Happy Planning,
